Areas of Work
SPORT & PERFORMANCE
We often find a difference in our performance in training and competitive situations. This is because we compete under conditions that are very different than what we are used to in training sessions. By preparing our mind with the skillset needed to face these situations, we give ourselves an advantage and the ability to cope with diverse situations.
Whether you're at the grassroot or elite level, whether you perform on stage or in the workplace, if you're looking to restore, maintain or optimise performance, sport & performance psychology consulting can help you!
Get in touch with me to discuss how sport & performance psychology can help serve your needs!
LIFESTYLE
Four aspects contribute to our health and wellbeing - genetics, our environment, health care, and behaviour. Behaviour is responsible for approximately 50% of our overall health and wellbeing. Dedicating effort and resources towards improving this aspect that is within our control provides us with the most benefit.
Our decision to follow and stick with a behaviour are based on whether or not we're motivated to engage in that behaviour and whether or not we believe that behaviour is within our control.
If you have been struggling to prioritise your health and maintain a healthy routine or just want to explore health behaviours that can improve health status and minimise threat, you can work with me to bring about positive changes to your lifestyle.
Some areas where we can work together include adherence to exercise or diet plans, becoming physically active, improving sleep hygiene, reducing alcohol consumption, smoking cessation, and managing work-home life balance.
If you're looking to make positive changes in any of the areas above, get in touch with me today!
MENTAL HEALTH
Mental Health is essential to wellbeing. It is not the same as having a mental illness diagnosis. The quality of our mental health can vary over time. You may find yourself struggling with emotions, thoughts and behaviours, or you may just want to develop skills as a preventive approach to protect your mental health. You may be able to identify the problems you are facing and know exactly what you want to improve, or you may feel like your mental health is deteriorating but need help identifying ways of improving it. When you prioritise your mental health and work towards improving it, you will find yourself better able to cope with daily hassles and life stressors.
